Check out the latest issue of Dirtwheels. APEX is to begin producing thier Yamaha powered 250 YFZ looking race bike. THe article says its a honda motor but when I saw the quad at the last WORCS race in Taft, CA. It was using the Yammie motor. The thing is a beast and will surly dominate. Now the big 4 need to step up thier game.

those things are awesome. i cant wait until the big 4 start making them then maybe the quads will have a pro 250 class just like the dirtbikes do

i talked to apex and they told me you could get it with either motor???? will this quad be legal for the 200-300 atva class??? i thougt it will air cooled only

Posted by: ZSNOW

NO! it will NOT be legal in schoolboy JR or 200/300 style classes.

The only class it will be race legal in that is a youth class is Schoolboy SR

dude what are you smokingg?

there are no air cooled limitations on shoolboy JR at the nats,

this quad meets the requiremnts, its a production quad from 200-300 cc!

tell me why it wont be legal?

You! haha sorry dude. had to say it. lol but i was Just kidding

and sorry about that. i didn't know that about the nationals. i know that in NEATV-MX and district races that your quad has to be aircooled to run the 200/300 style classes.

I would still think someone would be silly to spend 10K on that.

I am sure I will get totally flamed for it but unless they call you up and set it all up custom like for your weight/purpose/style etc.

I am curious to see the final product.

Agreed. I'm curious to see who spends the coin and how it performs. You can buy a couple nice used race ready 300's for that money.

Parvin better get one ordered so he can let us know.

haha dont you guys realize,

these guys running the nationals, atleast 85% of them are loaded and really dont care how much a quad cost!

but it would happen to figure they come out with a toatly dominate quad right after im out of the class

There is no way these can be legal or Homogolated if you can get either engine in them. They would need at least 100 of each model available in 6 regions to be production legal before this spring. That is a pretty tall order.

I don't see 100 of them getting sold at even close to that price...again I beat the same drum.
