anyone know anything about suzuki quadsport 230s. i just got one for $100. it runs but smokes alot. ive heard there known for it. is it worth putting my money into it?

The suzuki quadsport 230s can be great quads
There are still a good amount of parts available, they sound good with an aftermarket exhaust. You can cut the front fenders to give it a very clean look.

Just don't exspect anything super fast. They have a problem with the chain coming loose while riding and ripping the caseing off.
But for $100 man you got a good deal. If it was me I would rebuild the top end, get the plastics and frame looking nice and fresh and get new sprockets/chain and be happy

Then later on when you have more money get new maier plastics, bigger piston, and new wheels

for a hundred bucks i'd say it was a deal. but like he said, they are known for having a few problems here and there. mine was always breaking something, swingarm, brake caliper, anf lots of little things too.

not the best lookiing thing in the world, and could use some work, the last owner spray painted it yellow and it starting to peel off,needs kickstart, shifter clutch brake levers mainly minor stuff. id like to bore it out and put a pipe on it. i figured for the price of it and a little money put into it id have a decent wheeler to play around on and for my girlfriend to ride, and i couldnt pass up a deal like that. i'll take some pics and post them latter.

man your in luck i know a whole lot about this quad and have about every motor part. just tell me what you need and i can get them to you for cheap because i done have any use for them. I have the motor that is in mine a spare and a parts motor.

i have a kickstart but sorry no pipe. Would 30 bucks shipped be alright for the kickstart. It is perfectly working condition.
