in my carb there is a wheel that the throttle cable attaches too. it has a tab that rests on the idle screw that broke off. I am looking to replace the wheel so i can have an idle again but when i look for the part it doesnt look right. From what I remember mine looks more like a disc with a track in it for the cable and has a location for the cable to fit into and the tab, but nothing at the link below looks like a disc. i dont wanna order the wron part, any ideas??

from looking at the diagram, some pics are wrong. you would need # 8 assembly, which would be 60 bucks. you're better off getting a different carb, some people are parting their 300's so you shouldn't have a problem finding one.

try pm-ing cmaxx and f4istunna. they are both parting out 300's and have carbs. good luck. also, ebay would probably have something. you'll get a better deal on this site though. just post something about wanting a carb.

do you mean a different year carb or an aftermarket or just buying a whole carb used instead of spending 60 bucks on 1 part?

getting a used oem carb would be cheaper and you wouldn't have to worry about getting the wrong part and paying too much money.
