Gary Are you Really Selling those china quads? All i can say is they are backyard quads and backyard quads only. have you tested them?

I was thinking the same thing. I'm very much against the cheap and unsafe chinese quads. IMO they help support the anti atv peoples belief that kids quad are dangerous. Where as DRR shows them how stable and safe a kids quad can be.

ok I am going outside the box for a few.... these china quads make good cheap pit bikes for chasing the little guys around the track during practice.. seen them used alot for that purpose... and also.. running back and forth to the bathrooms and consession stand...

I wish everyone could afford a DRR quad, that is far and away the safer choice for all riders.

We have not purchased any of the "china" quads yet...just added a few pics to see what kind of interest it would draw.

We live in a rural area and many folks can't afford $2,300 for a mini quad, so should we not help them find a start in the ATV world?

All potential owners of these little knock offs need to be advised of the potential issues that can occur(safety and mechanical)

One of the problems is that most people that sell them shouldn't own a wrench....and do so out of their house.

This increases the chances of an issue arising from the ownership of an entry level mini.

They are sold on almost every corner in the state of FL buy fly by night companies.....so that leaves a lot of customer that need help in making sure the quad is assembled correctly and stays in good running condition.

Without the proper guidance they can needlessly endanger their child....and never enjoy a sport that they really don't know exists yet.

you are right Gary... some people only have small funds. Some of them mini knock offs are as cheap as them power wheels. You guys might call me stupid, crazy, poor boy, and ect.. But my son started out at 3 years on his little mini $500 knock off... and did real well with it... and that would have been the only $500 that I would have had to spend if he did not like it.... but!!!!!! now that he did like it, I have spent plenty of $500s on more better race worthy quads... and don't under estimate them little things either... my son's was a 70cc 4 stroke... i did some small things to it and if he was only going straight, that dang thang would fly...it was light as heck too...
it makes a decent subsitute for them power wheels...
and should only be purchased if you are somewhat mechanicaly inclinded...
I will list the problems that we ran into:
-rubber boot on carb cracks after about 3 months,
-rubber engine mounts get weak and gives causing the chain to pop and jump sprockets
-the battery must be fully charged or it will not crank
-battery must be put on charge once a week
-exhaust system is made out of soft cast type metal and breaks... use EMT pipe and soup can..lol

and this is after 3 months of hard ridding from me, my 21 year old brother, and my son.
