250z's are cool look'n, great for beginners and play'n around, but there SLOWWW, so they aren't that popular with experienced riders. And of course they still make them!

Now if they made them more racing orianted (like the mojave) They would KILL I can just imagine, A liquid cooled, doch 4 valve, high rev 250z. It would be like a little ltr450! I would totaly buy it!

In all seriousness if you thought your warrior was a turd you whould hate a 250z. Unless you just d**k around on it. Or you could buy a 250z then put like a RM250 or a RMZ250 dirt bike engine now that would almost impossible but if you could that, it would be bad***.
Small frame+powerfull motor=scary=wheelies=(fun)

so what would i be better of on a 250ex or a z250?

A 250ex, way more aftermarket parts and better reliability. 250z's are cool looking but are geared for beginners and younger kids. Either way you'll be dissapionted.
