Bearings?

try lowering your rear shock

when he is on a flat surface at different speeds, does it pull one way or another? or when in a wheelie? i would check bracketry etc for bencing, cracking etc. are the tires evenly inflated? do any of the bearings have excessive play in them and is anything loose? or is it because he is hauling arse? lol but really checking those sorts of things should give you your answer hopefully.

a friend of mine put slime in his front tire after and did not drive it around to get it all over the tire. we went riding the following weekend and at high speed his tire was so off balanced that it was actually bouncing off the ground. just a thought to help. jim
