Hey i have a prairie 4x4 and the belt or something makes a high pitched noise when u 1st take off. After about 15 minutes of running my oil light comes on. Any ideas? I just bought the thing from a friend and it just doesnt seem like it has much power

Did you check your belt?

the belt looks new,it just squells when u 1st give it the throttle and once u get going it stops.

i dont have a clue like i said im not familiar with this one,I went from a 400ex to a much slower and totally different machine. So what is that exactly?

Is your belt right tight? Measure your belt deflection by putting a straight edge from pulley to pulley, then hold down on the belt, measure from straight edge to belt. spec i beleive is max 27-29mm.
