400ex doesnt have anything on a LT... keep your 250r

the r is definitely a faster quad but the 400 is a 4 stroke meaning better reliability

I own a 86 LT-250r and 02 and 03 400ex. Stock wise the 250r is faster than 400ex. But my 400ex are more reliable plus parts are easier to find too. What year 250r do you have? I know on my 86 I put gusset plates on it . The frame now is more sturdier. So if you want to race go for the 400ex . But 250r's are getting scarce too.

400 is way nicer. i have ridden both. at least in my opinion they are much nicer. steve
