450 SX in my shop....

Well after flipping the idea around of gettin an 09 SX, I finally went and picked one up. I was going to get a 505, but after thinking about it all, I don't wanna have restrictions on what I can race, so I decided the 450 is best suited for me.

Here it is along with my 08 fully built 450"mx"....

I started to tear it down last nite, and make way for new parts. I'm going to have to get a few things powdercoated, so I probably won't be able to ride it for about a week

Nice KTM quads man. I'm getting one after I sell my YFZ450. I got it posted on craigslist for $3,000 right now and that's it. but man seeing that KTM450SX makes me want one even more right now. I can't wait to get mine. I'm getting pumped and excited to get one, but i have to wait till december to get mine

I'd be very interested in a ride report comparing the stock 450sx to your built 450xc...err...450mx. Both look sweet, but it would be interesting to hear how the suspension on the stock sx compares to that of your build.

I got to check out a 450SX at my local dealer a couple weeks ago......incredible looking machine.

Both of your KTM's are nice......I got to see a white fender'd 450 at the ATV Nationals in Birch Creek earlier this year.......beautiful.

Yea, these new KTM SX quads are very nice and sweet quads. I just can't wait to get one, but first I have to sell my YFZ450, in which this will be hard to sell cause no one ever seems to be interested to buy mine, which really sucks, cause I just want to get a KTM450SX quad right now and race with it. I'm sick of riding a Yamaha now, i rode a KTM450XC quad and I liked it better than my Yamaha, so i know I'll like the new KTM450SX quad even more.

Yea I believe that they are the 2ply soft compound ones.. My SX is at my dealer right now getting a new ignition cover, otherwise I'd go check to be sure.

Sweet looking bikes, but just a couple of questions. How does either bike handle. I know they have the same frame geometry and was wondering how good are they in the turns. Do they go where you point them or do they push. I have a yfz and thats the one thing I dislike about it is that they push so bad in the turns. I has tons of power but hardly ever goes where you want it to. I would rather have a good handling bike than power.

You are correct. I wasn't down there but my quads were down there in the trailer. Matt Gassner was racing Pro Am and he is a sponsored rider of mine and I usually race with him.
