It was a great day of riding at Trevorton with no wrecks in our group. I am posting a few pics and a link to some vidieos that I took of our group doing some hill climbs if anyones interested. The vids may take some time to download to view so you may need a fast connection to download them.
Just a note! Security was making there rounds and checking for permits and did send some people packing.

Sure was a great day of riding and I'll see you all on the hills in 2 weeks.
I'm working at the brewery this weekend but don't plan on working the weekend of our ride.
Until then, take care!!

where in pa is this place and where do you get permits at??

Posted by: TargetBow

If you can get to Mapquest type in Trevorton, Pa and it will show you where it is and how to get there. Once in Trevorton you will be able to see the coal hills.

To find out where to get the permits go to this web site http://www.readinganthracite.com and click on the link that says access permits that is located near the bottom of the page.

Hope this info helps you find the answers to your questions.

I was wondering when the next time your going up that way and does everyone need the permit to ride?

Posted by: TargetBow

Our group usually stops going around this time of the year and we don't expect to get up there again until next year. If you post on this site asking who may be going up sometime soon I am sure there are plenty of people that still ride there during the winter months.
Reading anthracite does require a permit to be purchased by every person riding on their land. But there are still people that ride there without permits. You would be taking a chance if you ride there without a permit because if security checks for permits that day and you don't have one they could ask you to leave right away.

Looks like they are getting serious and may tow vehicles away that don't have a RAC permit.
Here is a pic of the letter I got in the mail today.
