Posted by: popo

http://www.district11ama.com/2003_Schedule.htm

Posted by: Jeff@TireBalls

Thanks Popo! So there aren't any this sunday?

Posted by: CBus660R

Sorry Jeff, all is quiet on the home front this weekend. Popo, are you racing at HH on the 22nd? I'll be there watching.

Posted by: Wingnut

The Mid East/Interstate series has a race in Mountain City, TN this Sunday. www.mideastinterstate.com

Posted by: Jeff@TireBalls

Thanks for the info, I'll look into it!

Nope. My Z's are "naked" right now getting the work overs. Wonder what the turn out will be like.

Posted by: Pappy

hey popo.....did ya decide on the 450 motor? my gncc friend is gettin ready to do his....just wanted to see if you had any problems or surprises?

Posted by: rookiex

jeff dont go there dude its a evil track every time somone races there they get broke LIKE ME!!!!
go to americanmx.com it shows all races

Posted by: Jeff@TireBalls

What do you mean?

Posted by: CBus660R

popo, if the weather isn't too crappy, I'm guessing the turnout shouldn't be too bad. Although, you never know since it is the weekend before Christmas.

Posted by: Lil90man!!

ok i know i'm new and don't know anything, so don't make fun of me but hey that's why i'm asking. ok i've been wanting to start racing for a long time and i just realized there's a hare-scramble at honda hills this weekend. it says its a district-11 race, which means nothing to me is this a special race to only those people or what? if it isn't how can i go about getting to race, and whats actually involved? any and all help is greatly appreciated

Posted by: CBus660R

District 11 means that it is an AMA/ATVA sanctioned local race. The AMA/ATVA breaks up the country into districts to allow local racers to have a regional series to compete in. District 11 is made up of sanctioned tracks in the southern half of Ohio. To race a district race, you need to be either an AMA or ATVA member and a distict member as well. You can sign up for both at the race.

Posted by: Jeff@TireBalls

Hey, that race isn't listed on the D-11 web site....whats the details? Do they have payback?

Posted by: lt250r91

Hey Jeff,
The D-11 site http://www.district11ama.com/ has the 03 schedule posted and if you look under the meeting minutes from October the proposal for a 'A' class for ATV was defeated so there will be no series points. last year some tracks offer a pro/a class with payback. It depends on the promoter and who is scoring it.

Honda Hills has there own website (www.hondahills.com) if you have any questions on times, location, or if you want to e-mail or call them about a Pro ATV class.

Posted by: Jeff@TireBalls

Thanks, we may just have to head up that way!

Posted by: CBus660R

Jeff, if you decide to come up for the race, its REAL EASY. I-71 north to C-Bus. I-270 east towards Wheeling WV. I-70 east to St. Rt. 13. North to US 40 east. Go about 3-5 miles and look for the sign on your right.

Posted by: lt250r91

Jeff
Hope to see you there. If you do make it look me up. It sounds like there is going to be a decent turnout. You just might have to take the new machine for a test drive after the race.

Posted by: Jeff@TireBalls

How far is it past Columbus!
Thanks LT I may just take you up on that!

30 miles east of Columbus, OH. Exit 132 off I-70. North on Rt. 13, 1 mile to light at Rt. 40. Right on 40 (east) 3.5 miles to Honda Hills Road. Turn right - 1 mile (south) to track. First gate - racing. Second Gate - practice/camping

Posted by: Pappy

Posted by: CBus660R

For Jeff or anyone else who is coming in from out of town or who has never run a D-11 race before, the bikes will go off @ noon and the quads will go off around 2:30-3.

Posted by: Jeff@TireBalls

I'll know tomorrow if me and rowlrag are coming up or not. Rico's quad is stripped down to the frame.

Ya...too bad!

Posted by:

what classes do they run there? Their webpage is for chit..it looks like 2 stroke, 4 stroke and utility class..is that really all the classes???

One 4 stroke class I can just picture in my head 130 400ex's, hand full of dales,,hand full of rapturds,,good lord the holeshot is gonna be nuts.

Posted by: chavez

wow it sounds like there will be a good turn out

Posted by: lt250r91

Rico
your right 4-stroke, 2-stroke, & utility. 3 class total.
Last year there was like 40-50 4-stroke quads. They had 2 rows of them because they didn't have enough room for them to all start at once. So It'll be crazy. If rcscoring doesn't score it we might be able to talk the promoters into adding a money class. The rcscoring guys are the ones that are on the d-11 board and have to follow the rules on no payback to the quads since the pro class didn't pass. The other out fit that scores some of the D-11 series allows the pro class.

Posted by: chavez

well it will proble be 35 4 strokes 10 2 strokes and 4 util

Posted by: Pappy

Posted by: popo

lt250r91, Those are bad directions! Once they get off of 71. They need to take 270 till it dead ends. :devil :devil bawhaaaaa..

Look out for the Columbus po-po's. Hee hee hee, I can see it now Quad Shop trailer pulled over with 100 lbs of Rico's weed in it. I might just be on duty when you come rolling thru.

With all the rain we have been getting it's gonna be messy.

Posted by: CBus660R

popo, I don't think they would make it until it "dead ends" As soon as they saw the A-B brewery, Rico would be bailing out and Jeff and the others would be spending the rest of the trip trying to get him back in the truck!

ROFLMFAO....but officer we use it to put down at the starting line for better traction I swear..

And Cbus,,,ummmm we might have to go by an budwieser brewery.. do they have a beer tast testing area available to the public??:devil

Posted by: Jeff@TireBalls

We stop for pee breaks only!!!

Ok.....so stay on 270 till it dead ends and thats were the track is. Gotcha!

Posted by: CBus660R

Rico, the brewery does offer tours and I believe you do get to sample the product. Although, it is in amounts that would just leave you frustrated Fortunately for Jeff, if you do follow the proper directions to the track, you won't pass the brewery and he can pretend that you were only dreaming when I told you about it

Posted by: Jeff@TireBalls

How long to they race for?

Posted by: CBus660R

The quads usually go for about an hour. Sometimes 1 1/2 hrs or a set amount of laps. Last year, we ran a race in a real slopfest. Decided to go for 5 laps, figuring it would take about an hour. The winner came in at 2:10. I finished 9th out of 33, 1 lap down in 2:14 on my old Craptor.

Posted by: chavez

last year it was so nasty that alot got stuck on the mx track. serious!

Posted by: Jeff@TireBalls

That sounds like my kind of track but I really hate to drive 7 hours to race for 1 hour.

Posted by: Pappy

Posted by: chavez
