Im relatively new to the sport, but love to ride bikes. I just bought a 88 250r, and it is in stock condition, nothing has being made to this bike. I want go compete in cross county races, and would like to Know what modes can I do to the bike in order to have a better performance?

the first thing i'd suggest addressing is the suspension. once you've done that then ya can setup the engine to best perform for XC racing.

ideally a set of aftermarket a-arms and shocks that are custom valved for your weight, riding style, a-arms used and type. they'll make the difference between daylight and dark.

if you were to go with the power mods first you'll end up with power that the quad or yourself couldnt handle. and that is no fun not to mention, dangerous as hell.
