My 1990 Qracer after one lap of practice for an XC race back in March of this year. It's a good XC racer, but I toasted the engine during the race that race weekend and retired it for a little while. It's still sitting in my back yard just as I brought it home after the race that day. It's been six months and I'm now starting to get the itch to rebuild the engine and get it running and racing again. It'll probably be my winter project.

Nothing runs like an in-tune Quadracer...untouchable.

This was my 1991 LT250R.

Posted by: DoonRider

I shortened the swingarm 3 1/4".
The top shock mounts were relocated 1" higher at the same angle as the shocks to keep the geometry.
PEP worked over the rear shock,
Curtis Sparks built the motor. One of 2 Suzukis he did at that time.
It had a 36mm Mikuni and a RAD valve with a K&N.
Everything was done up right. It was a beautiful quad.
The good old days. This thing would whip up on Hondas (most of the time )

One More...

Posted by: DoonRider

Ok -last one

Posted by: 800screws

i take it, it's long gone...

Posted by: DoonRider

I sold it to a local kid who planned on racing it. He play rode it hard because it was a fun little quad, but it was pretty much purpose built for shorttrack racing. So that was hard on it with all the dust and jumps, etc. His girlfriend talked him out of racing it and then he sold it. The next kid planned on racing it but didn't have the funds to bring it back to being reliable and competitive. Now I hear it is sitting under a tree at his place in a neighboring town. I can't bring myself to go look at it.
That quad and I had some good times and been in some pretty exciting situations over the years. Kind of like an old horse I went to battle with. I took care of it and it never let me down. I hate to see it get treated like that.
