Hey guys,

New owner of a lt250r, whats the difference between the power valved motor and the non, whats the purpose of the pv. also is the round swingarm better than the square one?

the power valve smooths out the powerband of the 2 stroke motor, also gives a little more bottom end.

the 87+ lt motors were a bit faster then the 85-86.

the square is a little stronger but a huge PITA to adjust the chain. neither of them are very strong. aftermarket is the way to go for these machines, if you can find one.
