ok heres a trick ive been doing for quiet some time and it has worked out well, its a cheap solution to raise your bars, however its not a duarastic lift. half of an inch i believe but its still a bar riser

4 longer bolts and a spare set of top clamps are required

step one remove bars and top clamp(s) i used a lonestar anti-vibe but this can also be done with the stock stem

Posted by: honda300EXtreme

step two take a extra set of TOP bar clamps and flip them upside down and set them in the place of the old top clamp(s)

like so

step 3, dig up or buy 4 bolts that will meet the new required length. and re-install bars with the old top clamp

new bolt length, old bolt length

heres a pic of the spare top clamps im talking about

have any clamps lying around?

Thats actually not a bad mod. My buddy gave me the advice on that. I had a spare set of clamps from a Blaster that I put on my wifes Raptor 350. Worked out great. I wasn't looking for appearance, but rather function.

Or you could just buy everything you need for 19.99 online at
Rocky Mountain ATV .
Tusk Universal Handlebar Riser Kit
Kit includes hardened aluminum spacers to give an optional 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, and 35mm height increase over stock.

It is the same principle but much cleaner and safer. But good job supplying the info for those who want to do it themselves.

^^ i used that kit above and its VERY simple and good. used it in hard terrain upstate. big rocks mud fast trails and they didnt loosen at all. held up veruy good and im really happy with the raise.
