how hard is it to relocate the key, reverse light, neutral light, and choke on a 250ex. i have wanted to because i cant really choke it because of my renthals and i cant put the crossbar pad on. does anyone have any pics too. thanks

yeh the yellow bar plastic is for a 400. i bought a new one when i put the bars on. thought it would look pretty sweet. i think it turned out great. i especially like the choke.

wasnt that hard to do. you really need to use a drimel after you get the holes started because there is a couple of notches you need in them foir the lights and switch. didnt take to awful long, just take your time. the yellow bar cover was only like $5 from service honda. really cheap. you can probably get it from your dealer also for like $8 probably. dont get it from ebay they are trying to get gold out of them on there. theres one on there now up to $12 and its used. good luck

Thanks for all the ideas guys. I was just looking at getting some bars today for my 01 250ex and was wondering how in the heck to relocate all that stuff. I haden't even thought of putting the lights in the plastic above the headlight. That looks pretty sweet. By the way, those Renthal bars...are they the ATV bend? Or are they something else? I would like the bars that I see LRD's photos. Thanks again.

do u mean trx bend. i havent heard of renthal atv bend.

I see that you have an 02 250. Mine is an 01, I am not sure if there are any differences, but will the 400ex bend bar work on mine too? Thanks in advance, I am already working on relocating the neutral/reverse lights!

2qk4u that yellow plastic piece over where your handlebars bolt on where did you get it? mine is black and i wanna change my bars. just looking for idea's for now. i'll probibly put my key and lights where yours are.

got the yellow peice from service honda but you can get it at your local dealer

I just wanted to add that when I relocated my lights and key switch, we drilled the holes and then used a "Very hot" screwdriver to make the notches that are otherwise very hard to do correctly with a dremel. Just heat the screwdriver under a torch and melt the notches into the drilled out holes. It works really well
