NJ RIde part 2

Well its not really a true group ride but I was thinking this could work out cause its legal and for this one day inexpensive too.

NJORVP Chattsworth park is having a Cannondale Demo Day this Saturday 12/7 and will have a reduced daily rate of $15.00. This would be cool just to check out the c-dales but also creates a good time for everyone to get together as well and who minds saving $35.00.

Just a thought but after the previous ride fell apart due to weather and other issues I figured this may be the trick, and yes its legal, a little small but still legal and if you never rode there before you will have enough to keep yourself from getting bored.

NJORVP < check it out here

Any ideas or thoughts?

Posted by: beerock

YES!!!!!!!!

now i gotta get the motor in the bike!!!!!!!

Im there dude.....

i got my eyes on them cdales!!!!!!

Ill defineately give one a rip around the track.....

and will definately see if we can set up some sort of drag so i can finally drag one....

PAPPY!!!!!!!!!

you gotta come!!!!!

woo hoooo!!!!!

(I hope my motor runs alright with a hone job and re ring.....)

Posted by: 440EX4me

Anyone else?

We do need to get a head count etc. since this place doesnt have much parking and we need to know how to find everyone. Also you may need to come with a member (they dont require this often but its in their rules) and may want to contact them to be sure the reduced price isnt just for testing the c-dales.

??

Posted by: QuadRacer041

i ran the idea by a few buddies of mine and i think its its not too cold we're comin down.
hopefully there will be 4 of us.

Posted by: 440EX4me

It should be good with the demo's and stuff plus I heard something about there possibly being some guys there who race either for or on c-dales. Dont have much info on this but was told about it by one of the locals there.

Posted by: QuadRacer041

well i got an email from the orv park letting me know about saturday, im sure they have more info on there site

Posted by: Ex'r Marlin

Looks like I will be there! (Count me in)

BTW... It is a requirement to wear a chest protector there... If you do not have one, I think they rent them out for the day there.

Posted by: QuadRacer041

Damn I get mine running and now everybody else is down Well I dont have a 300ex shock so no help there sorry.

I am not sure how they have been doing it since they gave back half the parking lot to the state, but they used to be very liberal. If we get a lot of people going I will cal them ahead of time to work something out.

It seems a lot of us are members anyhow.

Lou its a lot better but I could start a whole new thread on that alone LOL

I am now trying to get the jetting dialed in cause its running both rich and lean on diff circuits etc. If its improves from here I will be happy with it for sure, now just to get the rider as fast as the quad

Oh and between all this craziness I decide to go and start changing the suspension set up just in case the jetting didnt drive me completely nuts.

Copy of the email from NJORVP

The New Jersey Off Road Vehicle Park (NJORVP) is having another Cannondale
demonstration day on Saturday December 7, 2002 during regular park hours.
You must be 21 years of age and older to take a test ride.

Rossini Racing Products and Fun Center will be at the park making a dirt bike
and quad available to test ride.

The park will be offering a discount day pass to non-members for $15 just to
take the demo ride.

You can see the lineup of Cannondale off-road products at this web site.
http://www.cannondale.com/motorsports/

Hope to see you there!

The staff of NJORVP

SO depending on interpatation it may just be $15.00 for the demo but then who knows, but I guess you could call.

PS. Derno24 if its $50.00 and not $15.00 your on your own LOL

Welcome to EXriders.com! I highly recommend trying out NJORVP (New Jersey Off Road Vehicle Park), from there you can meet riders and talk about where you may want to ride. I also recommend checking out the "Where to Ride" threads on here for upcoming rides that we go to. I have met some great people on this site, and have had the chance to ride with a few of them!

Good luck with your 300ex! Hopefully we will see you out on some of the rides!

Posted by: njbudman81

where is that at

Well Chattsworth aint South Jersey to someone in Glouster Co.

Chattsworth is off rt72 about 20 min west of LBI or 15 min south east from fort dix.

Probaly around 1 hour plus from you.

You have any good spots left around you?

Posted by: njbudman81

yeah. there are a few spots. i got to the ferry slip, bridgeport airport and the D.O.D. ferry slip is the best one less chance of gettin kicked out. once u get there u r fine. just might get asked where u are goin on the way

Posted by: 440EX4me

Chatts/NJORVP has canceled the Demo day See copy of e-mail below.

I am still intending on being there but may change to sunday depending on everyones plans etc. but sunday would be a lot better for me.

The Cannondale demonstration ride scheduled for Saturday December 7, 2002 hasbeen cancelled due to the inclement weather.

No future date has been set.
The Staff of NJORVP

Posted by: njbudman81

i love the snow, this was my first snow with a quad. i love it

Posted by: Ex'r Marlin

Well guys... It looks like I will plan on going Sunday then. I hope those that ventured there today had a good time. Hopefully I will meet some of you there on Sunday, or in the near future.

Posted by: 440EX4me

Anyone else gonna tough the cold tomorrow?

Posted by: QuadTrix6

im waiting on a dryer day

Posted by: 440EX4me

Well I can understand that since I have been accused of being a fair weather rider too, but you missed a good time.

The track was a little OK very sloppy and much was snow covered, but then that was the fun part

Trails were no worse than after a typical rain in the pines plus some snow.

Posted by: QuadTrix6

when the weather drys up we should all go, is the park open year round ?

Posted by: Ex'r Marlin

Yeah, NJORVP is open most of the time throughout the year. I have heard from time to time, even on weekends, they have been closed.

BTW... They have an excellent coarse through the woods there. I am not sure of the distance, but it is fairly long with alot of whoops and somewhat tight trails. No rocks! A lot of Jersey sand though!

Posted by: QuadRacer041

i think after i get all my xc add on's on christmas i may have to go done there and rip the trails up.

Posted by: 440EX4me

C'mon down, but one it gets warmer do go early on the weekends.

Posted by: 2k2-300exnj

are those trails decently wide? i have heard they are kind of tight? i am going to go there around the begining of febuary when my quads front end is finished and all set up... who knows what else i will have by then if i get some extra money for x-mas
so far i am only goin with like 5 or 6 people my usual buddies are mud freaks and utility riders....

Posted by: 440EX4me

Some of the trails there are tight and deff not like a fire access road etc.

Your friends on 4x4 may have diff opinions of things.
