left rear main lug nut that holds the hub to the axle keeps coming loose. no problems with the other side, just left side. no way that the torque from being on the chain side can be causing the nut to loosin off?? im thinking about using lock tight, any cons about using lock tight on the lock nut?

We had the same problem. I used the blue lock tight and seemed to help keep it tight.

seemed too? i want a permenant solution so that when im out on the trail and track i dont have to worry

either replace the nut with a new one, or get a castle nut and drill a hole through the end of the axle so you can put a cotter pin in it.

lmao drill an axle? have you ever tried that?
i sripped a hub on my axle and i had to get the quad home so i stopped at a buddys and tried to go thru the hub and axle so i could put a good bolt in it to get it home...
made it thru the hub easy...and barly put a dent in the axle...them friggen things are tough man..

Yea i have the same problem the left side nut comes loose on the hub and the right side i have no problems with. your suppose to torque the nut at 95 pds but yea i think i will just have to buy a new nut or use blue locktite.

ummm we use red loctite. It may take a torch to loosen the bolt, but it wont come off. you can go the castle nut route too...but still use loctite.

yea i like put allot of blue locktite on the threads and the nut and torqued it 100pds 5 more than what the book calls for so ill see how it does.
