I'm currently looking into purchasing a 450r, is there anything i should look out for in any specific years?

Pull the oil filter out before you buy. Beware of shiny metal in there.

Might save you some bank. I bought mine without checking it over as good as I should have and had to put a crank in right away. So before I even got to ride I had another $600 worth of parts to put in. Not including labor cuz I did it myself.

there isnt really anything more than the normal maitnence and stuff. Everyone talks about the crank bearing problem, but mine is about 100 hrs and running strong

yeah i bought my 05 in 06 and it still runs like top. i do know that the 04 and maybe 05 had frame problems, my friends 04 had some cracks above the upper engine mounts, but his is pretty old it like the 150th one off the line and he has beat the crap out of that thing for years.
