400EX shocks on a 450R?

I was wondering if a set of 400EX shocks will work on a 450r. I know it sounds like a stupid idea but a friend of mine has a blown right front shock on his 450r and wants to send the set out to get re-done. In the mean time I have a set of 400ex shocks I would loan him so he could still ride till his come back, if they will fit without modding too much.

yea they will fit but it will be lowered and be a harder ride. yes they work
