Ok i have a K&N filter not on my 300 and i dislike it. I bought a Twin Air but I do not have the stock filter cage. Do i even need any of the stock filter parts of just clamp it on like the K&N.?

im pretty sure u need the filter cage so the filter doesnt collapse. i think thats all it does. maybe u can make a filter cage of something. be crafty. on the other hand dont. if something goes wrong it will suck crap into the motor.

Could return it and get a UNI if you want foam. The UNI is self supporting (has a spring in it to act as a cage)
