would a hybrid be good at doing freestyle stuff or does it really matter just on the set up...cuz most the hybrids i see people on make them for mx or xc....n most of the riding i do is trails n now i wanna get into the freestyle stuff

a hybrid i think would be great for freestyle.i feel and so do alot of others on here, that a hybrid is alot better at jumping and absorbing hard landing that most likely gonna happen while learning freestyle.plus, hybrids are lighter and can be thrown around alot more then a production bike.

And why is this...?
The classic, almighty 250R geometry can't be beat. F*** the production bikes. Built not bought. That's the way to go.

My 400ex got 20-30lbs lighter just by swaping in a yz426 engine.
250rs and 400ex's are close to the same. Only reason a 250r is lighter is cause of its small 2 stroke engine. Put a 400ex engine in it and its going to weight the same if not more than a 400ex.

i might disagree to that one bajaracer21.my walsh 426 hybrid is alot lighter then my boys 400ex with a 426 motor in it.his bike is light a small tank.heavy and stiff as my weiner on viagra.haha but the geometry on the 250r is alot better then the 400ex.thats the reason why guys and girls that build hybrid use the 250r geometry frames.its the best make/handling bike ever made.and in my opinion, there will be no better handling bike then the 250r.hands down

The yz426 engine is at lease 20 lbs lighter then the 400ex engine.
I believe that is what he is saying.
