I changed my oil today and like a dumbarse i forgot to pay attention to which way the oil filter cover goes back on. Anyone know off-hand if the vertical part of the "T" inside the cover faces the rear of the machine or the front? thanks for any help

I lnow on the 04/05 one oil hole should be pointing up and the other towards the rear. I would think it would be the same.

on the 06 there is 3 oil holes (top bottom and right), but there are 4 holes in the case which is why i'm confused. I'm pretty sure the three holes on the cover point up, down, and to the rear. I just want to make sure before I start riding and do some damage.

Anyone for sure know the orientation for the 06?

Don't they show a illustration of how the filter assembly mounts in the owners manual. Seems I seen one in my Rincon book.

not that i was able to find. they just show the back of the cover. I looked all over this site and the manual and I couldn't find thing

You talking about the oil filter cover?? then you cannot put it in the wrong pisition because they are only 2 bolt and if you put the cover in wrong position the 2 bolt will not line up correctly.
