any tips on chain maintenance and riding in the sand?

lube attracts sand. sand wears out sprockets and chain?

riding a 08 Polaris Outlaw 525s. 6 hrs total time on bike.

any advice would be appreciated.

I always use good old wd-40 when we go to the dunes. I clean it off good at the end of each day, and spray it down before each ride. Seems to just sling the sand off. I know alot of people will disagree with me, but I've had no problems with it.

i use a napa brand "chain and cable" lube on all of my quads(chains and cables). its hi grade lube, stays on and doesnt cake up with dirt or sand.
