Hey i read the review on the maier skid plates and i really like them. The only concern i have about them is how easy will they break since they are plastic? should i even worry about that? also any other comments on the maier skid plates and a arm guards will be appreciated thanx:square

The Maier plates are actually Polyurethane I believe, thats some pretty tough stuff. I'm pretty sure they have a one year warranty on cracking or breaking...seems like a good idea to me..hopefully I'll get them for christmas

I don't have any pics of the Maier plastic skids but I do have the factory plastic ones that came on my Raptor. They're very strong and I've bellied across numerous things without event. I actually like the plastic skids now that I've used them.

I have done some looking around, but I have only found chassis skid plates no a-arm skid. any help would be great.

I have the full skid, for the entire frame. Works like a champ. A little difficult to install, and a little on the pricey side for hose clamps and plastic, but overall very impressed. I will try to get some pictures up.

im curious to how the swingarm skid performs in rocks and XC terrain

We just installed a full chassis skid on the 06 450r instillation was pretty easy and I will know more after a few rides and a race in a couple of weeks how it holds up.
