Does that even matter ? I don't think x amount of hours is going to mean anything! The tranny shouldn't go period.

yeah but id still like to know. There might be a fault with the gear boxes.

of hard riding maybe 10 15 hrs i really not sure

i have notice that i do favor third gear more but i dont think it would have this kind of impact on the motor.

Did you ever not pull up enough on the shifter and it didnt go into gear right away and then it slams in?

Posted by: jlrenken

as far as i know things were smooth and i always use my clutch.

Posted by: jlrenken

can i be caused by low end lugging and having to much torque

that is very strange. Only seen a hand full of those kind of problems.

back in '04 my brand new yfz tranny lost 5th gear in a month... strange things happen....

I'm sure the pounding threw the whoops and all the hard riding didn't help, But you also gotta look at how many quads they are putting out. You gotta expect a few to have some kinda of issues.

when you race a bike hard you dont always shift right im not going to lie ive no always shifted the right way but my tranny never did that! i would go to the dealer an talk to them about it see if theres somthing they can do

Posted by: jlrenken

well its all been taken care of. i went to the dealer which is where i work and it was warrentied. but the other bad thing is that i went out two days later and bent the left side of my axle. it just seems like the little things.
