yzf250 = raptor 250?

so i heard that yamaha was coming out with a new 250.. i also heard that its the engine from a yzf 250 thats gonig into them.. any idea whats the news? idk im a bt confused

The 2008 Raptor 250 was released late last summer. No the Raptor does not have the YZF engine. The only thing that is even close to being shared with the YZF bike is the color of the plastic.

oh.. thkanks its what i heard.. that they were going to put the 250 engince into raptors.. so it would rip like a yzf 250.. it'd be nice

I have not heard of anything from Yamaha. But in a recent Dirt Wheels magazine I saw Honda was remaking the old 250r. I saw it on the cover although I did not read about it. I had 450 style shocks dual exhaust. Basically a 450r with a 250 engine. It was water cooled and all.

the honda 250r article in the dirt wheels issue was not an april fools joke...their april fools joke consisted of john natalie being on dancing with the stars or some other celeb-reality show...

the 250r article was essentially about a "new" class to race in...the 250 class if you will...ut was giving reasons why atv manufacturers may OR may not produce bikes for such a class...

it was a very interesting article, probably one of their best...as long as you paid attention to what you were reading..very obvious that it was not the april fools joke...
