would it make a difference if you spray paint a part and then put it in an oven. i don't mean like a normal oven i mean like high temp ones?

yeah it would burn the paint!!!
spray paint should be applied ideally at 70 degress air temp and low humidity. a heated and well ventalated garage will work fine....just let it dry all the way before ya mess with it.

most likely what will happen if you do this with normal spray paint is that it will burn off! KP

oh so it won't help. what kinda paint could i use on my pegs that would last long, besides powdercoat? i know the top will wear but what about the rest.

just do a good primer then your paint of choice then several (4) coats of clear and it should stay pretty good. KP

strip them to bare metal using paint stripper
take a wire wheel and get them spotless
use a good quality primer and apply 2 coats ....letting each coat dry
then apply a good quality top coat....dont put heavy coats on....and let dry atleast 20 minutes between coats.
then apply a coat or two of clear and yer done

ok well i was thinking about doing them black like stock. the black paint i have is industrial strenght, and has done good on my homemade skid plate.
