my buddy has either a 2006 or 2007 yfz450.
Wasnt sure without lookin' at the VIN.
It has a
JE Piston 13.5:1 / Hot Cams Stage 1 Cams / Port & Polish / GYTR Slip-on exhaust, and a intake (ESR i think).
Also has a Pro Com CDI box.
Located in chicago, il
What should I be lookin at for jetting & needle setting?
I think it might be an 07, because my 05 has a different carb then his. (didnt they change that in 07-08 models?)

07's came with pro taper bars and a 1 1/8th clamp.
and all the graphics are a little different from year to year.

Start with:
175 main
48 pilot
#35 leak jet
4th clip from top on NCVQ needle
2.5 tuns out on screw
That will get you close

It also has the power shot (?) Fuel screw.
Is it still the same, 2.5 turns out?
Does anything else change?

Yup, should be the same. If you have an aftermarket fuel screw, you will be able to adjust it on the fly with the quad at idle.
Idle it up a hair, to where you can hear it, and slowly adjust the screw to where the idle peaks and smooths out. Good luck with it, buddy. Let us know if you have any more ?'s
