I just got some stage 1 intake and exuast cams for my 04 ltz and i was woundering about some things to look out for or if i should get the hotcams shim kit or just get some from the dealer when i have them put them in, or what? just looking for some feedback on the cams. Mods right now are down below

I've done both but I ended up with the shim kit. It's a pain to go to the dealer evertime you need a shim. If you screw up a measurement then it's back to the dealer. I got mine used and was only missing a few shims for $30.

Oh and use a quality torque wrench coupled with a manual and your instructions from HC

i work at a dealer and if i were you i would just have them get the shims if your going to have them put the cams in, if you buy the kit you may end up spending more money than you have to

thanks anyone have problems running a dynateck cdi stage 1 cams with there stock valve springs????????
