i went to a put a new clutch cable on and it went well but the clutch is completely slack... i looked at it and where it connects to the engine has no spring to it...i pull the clutch in and it stays there it wont pop back and the cable is for a 400ex...

anyone know wat this could be i need to fix it by Saturday

so is the clutch arm on the engine moving or not when you pull the clutch

it will move forward but wont go back

if i put a whole new clutch system in it will that fix it?

does the cable have to much play.

so all you did was replace the cable? or did you do something internally to the clutch as well? if all you did was the cable then like my88r said there could be an adjustment issue or you got the wrong cable
