ive heard efi and aluminum frame but thats just what it is... a RUMOR

i think they are going to do something though. im not to high on the efi but whatever

June 6th the Yamaha shops are going to get a dvd with all the 09 models and that should tell us whats new with the yfz 450. the dealers should get it by 10am on the 6th and it will be on Yamaha's website a by noon. Thats what i was told!

is that a common thing when a new year bike is coming out? or do you think it is some kind of "anouncement" vid?

just a like demo video showing the 09 models. My local yamaha shop told me this.

but did they do it with the other years? do they release the same video every year explaining the yfz? or are they dropping this video because they might have something good up their sleeves?

hes asking if there is an informational dvd each year or just this year. i think there is 1 every year but i dont really know for sure.

They'll be doing a bit of refining to the engine which will be accomodating the EFI.

There will be some improvements done to the front suspension ( ie. different valving.)

There will be a different handlebar setup ( ie different bend , positioning)

The tires will be redesigned to gain better traction.

And of course , you will be offered a different color for the plastics.
