Curious what you all are paying, and if there have been any major issues with the bike.

i paid $6042.00 for my 2008 kawi 450r otd. i know pretty cheap, and it was brand new. i got it from Woodson Motorsports, in Ft. Wayne, IN. They had 1 left and i got it. The only complaint i have is not every bolt is tightened down all the way. I lost 1 bolt that hold the 2 pieces to the back plastic together and thats it. This bike is awesome and your not gonna go wrong with it. Goodluck

$7550 otd in june '07 at mgd in middlesboro, KY and no real problems, i too have just lost a few bolts but if thats a deal breaker some folks dont need a 450, that could happen on any quad, maybe i woulda liked to waited a few months to save some money but overall i cant b**** the kawi itself has been nothin but good to me.

picking mine up on sat!! The bolts your loosing just from the plastics??

Posted by: 450raider

yup, ive only lost a few where the rear fender flares connect, but ive lost more out of the heelguards and thats it once you get it and get a real good look at it we can give ya some tips on how to get them flares off in 5 min. flat

cant you just lock tite the heal guad screws?

Posted by: 450raider

you could....i just dont cause i dont know much about loctite and how powerful it would hold in case i got nerfbars later on down the road. thats all

Posted by: CarFanatic

they make different levels. blue is most common

Posted by: hondaracer_34

speaking of takin off the fenders, how do you take off the front ones? i know with a screw driver but what about the other black lookin things? sorry i dont really know what they are...kinda look like rivets?

Posted by: 450raider

well i took some small wire cutters to the bottom of the rivets and just cut away until i could get em off, then you have to drill a little bit bigger holes in your plastic to replace the rivets with pushpins for easier removal (i like the honda ones but, think the zuke ones look better so i went with them) and the rest is easy as pie

hope this helped

and if that blue loctite isnt supposed to be cement strong i just might get some

Anyone recomend good skid plates?

Posted by: hondaracer_34
