Im upgrading quads soon, and I'm thinking about an LT-R450 or a Raptor 700R... If both had the baffle and airlid removed, and the lt-r had a cherry bomb, which quad would have more low-end to mid-end power? And which would have the fastest top speed???

700 wins on both of those...

yes its true that a Raptor has more power and more top speed because of its 250cc advantage but in a drag the ltr beats it every time assuming the ltr has got a 14 tooth front sprocket and 20" rear tires so its even.
i know this because every day i have to watch my mates battle it out with those quads and those minor setups

I'd want the Raptor for ANYTHING but straight MX.

my experience has shown otherwise

i just said what am looking at every day
but you also have to take in consideration that both of these bikes are build for different purposes like the 450 is build for the motocross track and they will be more zippy and will have faster acceleration where the raptor is built for trail riding in mind it has a slower reeving engine is way better on gas and has more top end speed
when the girlfriend are coming out riding with us you can see that the 450 is struggling to carry 2 people and the raptor is going the same as if there was one person
i'm not saying that your experience is wrong i am just trying to point out that its really hard to say which bike is better, stronger or faster when they are built for totally diferent purposes
this is just my point of view
