Exhaust burning plastic?

Hey I have a 2004 Raptor 350 with aftermarket Cobra exhaust pipe on it. I recently noticed it is starting to burn the plastic that is next to it. I looked and tried making an adjustment to move it further away from the plastic but to no avail. This pipe is made for my bike. What else can I do to eleviate it burning all the way through the plastic? Is there something I can put on the inside of the plastic to prevent heating up and burning? Please any information will help. Thanks

I had the same problem just with another bike. how i solved it was putting this heat deflecting tape on the spot near the pipe on the fender and it worked and deflected the heat away.
