ya i would not worry about simplifying the wiring, just get a new harnes and be done with it.

I already simplified it. I have the harness made, the only things im hotwiring is the power to the cdi and the power to jump the solenoid, because I dont have my start button/run switch for my bars yet. I ditched the reverse light, neutral light, reverse box and clutch switch. and of course the batter is not on the quad because I still need to mount it. I have a line on one but i just havent picked it up yet and have had this thing going since last july or so and I was getting impatient and juist wanted to hear it run.

I need to get some discs to quiet it down though, video doesnt really tell how loud it is. I mean it isnt so bad and annoying like some pipes, but it is loud. it has the 6(i think 6) bolt holes and it looks like the discs will bolt up to it? this is all i need right?

the discs, end cap and bolts, there isnt anything that goes to the muffler first for the discs to fit to?

well, its a pc'd 250x frame I got in trade, then its got a 300ex engine thats at least 2, maybe 3 different engines parted to make one. its got a 400ex carb, UNI filter(thought they were red, mines green, so I cant be sure but the clamp says UNI???), no lid, full DG exhaust.

450r swinger/axle, 400ex front end/shocks minus a arms, 450r a arms, 250r rear shock, ITP bajas, holeshot 18" rears, stock fronts.

just about every part besides the top end and frame have come off ebay. in the end it would have been cheaper to buy a used 300, but it wouldnt be nearly as custom and I wouldnt have gotten to build it. I thnk I got almost 1600 into it now, and have about 100-150 more in parts (front brake pads, silencer discs, probably something else small) and then a welder and it will be done. probably would have been able to get a 400 even, but then also wouldnt have a welder.

well its gotta be better than stock, plus I got it for 40 bucks locally.

anyways I was thinking of a newer full system but even the powercore 4 is about 270, and thats the cheapest one I have found.

does the DG headpipe finish up right where stock would? so any slip on would go right on my headpipe? what about pipe O.D. differences?

Im not sure, iv herd that it dosent work. butt i would deff. save up for a better one. Im saveing money off to the side for a sparks.

Ill most likely just run the DG, only thing this quad is gonna do is hold me over til I get my 450r before summer. and then its the girflriends/cousins/friends quad whenever I wanna go riding with someone who doesnt have a quad or cant bring theirs down here.
