How do you adjust the valves?

Plastic and tank everything is off to get to the valves. Valve covers are off but its not rightbecause the cam if pushing on the intake side. How do you rotate the motor? I know how to do it on other quads but I cant seem to figure out where to turn the motor over so the cam lobes arent pushing on them making it so you cant set them.

If I remember right the flywheel is in the back of the engine, turn that counterclockwise and look at the timing view hole thing on the left side of the engine (like on the 400ex) line it up with the T

what do you remove to get to the flywheel thats where i'm stumped?

I believe there is sort of a plate covering it that you need to take a few bolts off to get that off, then the end of the crank should be right there.

do you need new gaskets when you take that thin back plate off?

my friend got his valves to spec and stuff. Thanks for the help I was puzzled because I was used to my 400ex and I couldnt find the flywheel bolt on the 250ex
