To get a new one or not?

Well in another thread in this section I posted about a JB/pep LT front end and 06 swinger with LSR link and PEP LT shock and I want to get all new stuff for my 2004 like new wheels and tires,f rame pc and gusset/ suspension and motor work and little stuff like levers, stem and plastic but the question is should I do all this to my 2004 450r or should I get a 2009 when they come out becuase I am afraid of doing all of this and then mine becomes outdated and no one wants them any more. So any help on what to do is appreciated.

Imo, there is no point in getting the '09 unless we're going to see some major changes (i.e., Fuel Injection and/or major geometry changes). You'll be better off with a built '04 with a fresh build than you will with a bone stock '09, unless Honda comes out with something on par with the KTM's. But it all comes down to patience. In either case, you have to wait for the official word on what's new (or not) on the '09's.

Yea I was going to wait until winter to do this build up anyway just trying to get some ideas before hand. I would like to spend less money and make my quad exactly how I want it then buy a brand new stock quad and have no money left for parts.

I think you answered your own question there.
Personally I would build up the '04. When you're done with it, it will be just like brand new again.

Yea that is true becuase I would get the engine modded and everything PCed and all new a arms and suspension so it would be like a brand new bike,
