I found a 1997 all original blaster with the original tires still and original owner for 1000 bucks. I just let the 500 dollaer yfz450 go cuz i dont have all the money that the yfz needs at the moment. But Since this blaster was barely ridden and stored alot am I looking to rebuild this 2-stroke since the age as soon as i get it, and what else should i check since this was barely ridden to make sure nothing goes wrong or fails and have the engine go or something?

i would check brakes and take the light off for better steering. if it runs alright, it should be fine, but its up to you. clean the carb and the usual and remove the TORS and u should be set.
