Im probably going to be trading my 05 450r in on a new 08 soon. I was wondering what mods i have will fit on the 2008 450r? Also , what kind of power difference can i expect? I have had some people tell me the 08 might beat my 05 in a drag. Any truth? Thanks in adavance.

yes 2008 faster than 2005 STOCK. but ifyou build a monster motor 2005 is the best year, the trans is stronger. but i got a 2006 and cost a little less to build than2005. 2005 needs cdi 2006 does not really need a cdi just cut green wire get extra rpm's. 2006 air box is a keeper, 2005 need upgrade air box, not sure if 2006 air box will fit. also 2006 and up have good carb 2005 need upgrade, and 2006 and up motors bore and stroke different from 2005. dasa's factory honda riders still runing 2005 motors and trans. but others may have better info than me.

Yes 2008's have higher compression and the green wire mod and CRF cam and rejet with pipe, really breathe Fire into this BABY!
