New to the forums, but i'm thinking about buying the Motoworks Slip-on exhaust and FMI for my KFX and i was wounderin if anyone would disagree with Motoworks? I dont race i jsut need some more power for our local track with proper settings. Also new to EFI so kind of confused how to tune them proper.

I have a full exhaust for sale(ESR pro thumper exhaust) and its not loud(quieter then friends ltr HMF) and it gives alot of power.
i used it a few times up and down the road but its too loud for where i go(i ned 96 DB's this is over that but still quiet) so im selling it like new but cheaper then new.
as for EFI controller i recomend the power commander. Its so much nicer cause you can customize maps and such.

Yea, but i dont want to fool around with maps, i am so confused about that all so i am just getting exuast and FMI for engine mods.

well for the powercommander its all very easy. me a 14 year old can do it in minutes. install software from cd download map from dynojet.com open it in powercommander program plug powercommander which is installed on teh quad send map and done. ofcourse it comes with instructions too.
im sure almost everyone would recomend it.

So, i am getting this right if i wanted to purchase the dasa 13" and power commander i could get the maps for the pipe and air intake all stock? How do i know that its right? And how often do u change your maps and why?
Posted by: k4f5x0r
i changed mymaps because i switched pipes 3 times. but if you find a map you like just keep it. for the dasa im not sure what map to run but im sure alot of people who use the KFX would know.

Do you know where i can get a map from?

If you dont want to mess with the mapping yourself i would reccomend doing like you said. You should get a full motoworks pipe with their efi controller. This is what the stock setting is on the efi controller. I would only recomend this set up if you know that you don't want to do anything else to it. You still may need to take it and get it tuned depending on where you live.
