a-arm help

i am trying to take my a-arms off to get them painted however i cannot get the end of the a-arm out of the spindle. do i need a special tool or am i just not trying hard enough. also am i going to need a special tool to get the end bearings ( the spindle side bearings) out of the a-arm?

any help greatly appreciated thanks.

bump it with a rubber mallet and try to heat it.
