01' 660 running problem

I have a 01' 660 Raptor. Just got the tranny fixed and working on breaking in the motor. But now it seems when the motor is cold, she will fire right up and take off great. But when she is hot, doesn't want to say running, hard to even get started. But my temp light wont come on, and I know the light works. I'm thinking it might be the t-stat. But I was seeing if I could get some info first. If someone could help, please post. Thanks
