If anyone has any picks of what it looks like to change jets, pilot, etc... I have no clue how to do this and i know i will mess something up if i just take it off and try it.

you can remove just the bottom plug or the whole bottom plate (your choice)

Just one more question, is it true you dont have to take off the carb all the way?

Posted by: Dr89

yea, thats true on just about all quads. you might have to take it off one of the boots (either the one going into the air box or the one going into the engine) to be able to move it around enough to get to the jets but, you shouldnt ever have to take the carb all the way out.

Posted by: #17YFZRACER

you will need to loosen both boots on the carb to turn it. on the front loosen the screw closest to the carb NOT the engine. it can be a pain in the @$$ to get the boot back on the engine if it comes off.

just loosen the boots and rotate it, spin the carb enough to give you access to the bottom.

if you look real close at the pictures, they took the air box, and intake off, and shoved a paper towel in there, its still hooked up to the engine.

depending on what year your bike is, it might have some issues with hitting the brake reservoir when you spin it. just wiggle it around it.
