chain tightned now sloppy axles

hey guys. first time i went out and tightened my chain. took the allen bolts out then turned that piece with the slots in it and got the chain where i wanted it. but now the rear end is all sloppy, i can take the back tires and move them around meanin the the axles movie side to side up and down. wtf i do wrong?

sounds like your axle bearings are shot, time to change them

if you have a 450r, i have brandnew in the package pivot works axle bearings. i got them off RMATV like 2 weeks ago but ended up buying a whole new rearend assembly. PM me if you interested.

well i mean the only reason i knew the axle was wobblin was cause the rear brake rotor was rubbin on the skid plate. before i even touched anything today everything was fine

yah, you axle bearings are shot. my friends 300 had this happen. when we took the carrier apart the previous dumb owner drilled out the carrier to fit i think 450 bearings in there... his dad had to machine spacers with heavy duty plastic at work. what a nightmare. his was doing the same thing you could move the axle all around

yeah sounds ****ty. glad u got it too work. this was a good experience. i like workin on this kinda stuff. not too simple, not too hard and u learn quite a bit how it all works. hopefully ill be able to ride this weekend. almost done
