if i put a 330kit and a hot cam in my 300 will it beat a 400ex. will it have good power. will i gain any top speed.

Top speed isn't going to be effective if you can already hit the rev limiter in 5th. Speed is all about gearing. I dunno about beating a 400ex but you'll be closer. More displacement usually means better power

With a 330cc (80mm bore), pipe, filter, carb, port & polish, oversized valves, cam, rev box, and proper regearing you will beat a pipe & filter'd 400ex. If they add a cam they are gonna be even or beat you again.

This is coming from someone who owns a fullt built 330ex.

Money's better spent elswhere. If you're goal is to outrun a 400ex it's cheaper to buy a 450r.

Yeah, but sometimes it's just more fun to see the look on their face when they get beat by a little "300" *G*
ya just have to practice saying, "nope, piped, jetted and a hot cam is all" with a straight face.

where do you need that much power to beat a 400 at? if its a starit shot then who really cares cuz that dosent really take any rider skill. I could smoke 400's all day long in the woods because im a good rider, if i had the money id race but with the price of gas now i couldant afford the gas to put in the bike and in the vehicle to get places. BTW i have beaten 400's and 450r's in woods before its not hard at all, and my engine is bone stock with the exception on a full system, web cam, and jetted. I had mine bored out before n after doing that i think its a waste of money if i can beat them with it the way it is now.
