I want one probably the 525 xc but im not into xc im into 100% motocross. I know the axle is adj and longer A-arms can be picked up for about $500. But are the shocks good for mx or are they only good for xc? And who could revalve them for me and for what cost? And can the ride height be lowered much lower than shown in the pics? Or would it just be better to buy a ltr450?

i'm using my 450xc for TT/MX/XC/Supermoto. Rath Racing is doing long travel +2 a-arms. you can have the stock Ohlins revalved and resprung for an MX setup for sure. I know Ohlins has a different spring kit out to help lower the ride height.

I am using my 525 for MX. After I put mx tires on, I had to increase my preload slightly to get the 7 inch ride height I use, but I weigh 250lb. So you should be able to drop it down a little more.

Did you stay with the stock A-arms? Cause I would be wanting to go with +2 arms.

I don't have +2 arms but I do have some on order.

If I get +2 or 2.5 A-arms the shocks still need to be revalved right?
