did u checl to see if it is even getting any spark?

Posted by: yamaharider05

Yeah its getting spark but im not sure if its weak spark or not

Posted by: mdebuck

ok if you have spark and you checked your gas. try your compression.

Posted by: smorris1

is your fuel set to off lol?

Posted by: mdebuck

lol i don't think i know anyone who hasn't been able to start their quad and it ended up being there fuel wasn't on. everyone who rides a quad has done that at least once

Posted by: yamaharider05

No that was for the holeshot i forgot to turn the gas on i got to the last turn and it shut off haha

ok well i checked today and im getting compression but im still not sure if the spark is good enough.

Posted by: mdebuck

ok but how much compression. the blaster should get about 140- 160 psi. if its not close to that then i'd suggest pulling the jug off and maiing sure you didn't blow it. besides this the only poissible thing i can think of is your reeds may be sticking and staying open which causes the chamber to flood out and not start. so do this check compression and if all is ok on that then check your reeds. if those are ok i'm out of ides. i hope this helps ya out

What all would i need if i rebuild the top end?

Posted by: mdebuck

well beings it s a 2stroker (the ****) and not a 4 stroker (the ****ters) then you can rebuild the top end real cheap. anyways back to subject. if the cylinder and the head is in good condition go ahead and get a new piston and rings. i doubt your gunna need a new rod and/or crank. if the cylinder is able to be repaired by boring it or honing it then do that before you get a whole new sleeve or jug.
