got my motor carb wireing etc today. anyone have any advice. the fab work starts tomarrow.

you have to weld two tubes.
one tube to the top of the frame where the top of the engine mounts.
and one tube where the bottom mounts and then yoyu make little mounts to put on the tubes.
you also have to make front mounts and then modifiy the swing arm bolt and make spacers.
make sure everything is lined up good luck!

yeah i knew about the tubes for mounts and that but what do i have to do to the swingarm bolt

You gotta get a sleave that goes into the rear case mount to take out the slop in the pivot bolt. I'm not sure if the "pivot tubes" are different in the swinger for the spaceing or not. The person to PM would be ss440ex. he could tell you.

The yz engine is .240 shorter than the 400ex.
The swing arm pivot bolt hole (rear of the yz eng) is .090 larger then the 400ex swing arm bolt.
If I recall, the rear of the yz engine is 2.900 wide.
Have fun!
