I have read that you can use a xr400 cdi on a 400ex as a cheap option to an expensive aftermarket cdi.

anything available for a cheap solution to a 300ex? figure since there is no xr300 or anything, maybe not, maybe since it doesnt control fuel at all, just timing and rev limit (maybe more but I dont really know) a XR200 ?

If you just want increased rev's, it's pretty cheap to get your stock box modified.

Most any of the well known engine builders can modify the stock box. Sparks, FST, etc...

how sturdy is the 300 powerplant. will stock valvetrain float with an extra grand of R's?

bottem end handle it without any problems?
